Whirlwind Week!

Wednesday, February 11th, 2009

The last week whizzed by in a whirlwind of excitement! First off, special thanks to all of you who tuned in for our debut on Treehouse TV. We were thrilled to see the first video (Cindy Seahorse!) go national on February 6th, and the novelty hadn’t worn off when Recyle With Me played the next morning. Treehouse TV will be showing all ten of our music videos as interstitials between their existing programs. Please let us know if you see one play, and we’ll keep you posted if we receive any more info from the network on upcoming broadcasts!

Other exciting fun this past week included a number of fabulous shows. Huge thanks to the Winterfest crew and the City of Surrey for hosting us on Feb 7th. It was great to take part in some of the 2010 Countdown celebrations, and we felt honoured to share the mainstage with so much incredible talent.

Here we are “warming up” the crowd…

Warm-up!

For more photos and a great write-up about the  Winterfest festivities, please visit Miss604 - a fabulous blog committed to covering events and activities in Metro Vancouver.

Speaking of great events, kudos to the Inglewood Parent Participation Preschool and the West Vancouver community for putting on an incredible family fundraiser this past weekend. With 500 tickets sold, the place was definitely rockin’! Our thanks to Helen and the organizing committee for inviting us to headline the family entertainment. :)

The musical adventures didn’t end with the wrap of the weekend though, and We dove right into Monday with a show for the primary students at Kingsford-Smith Elementary in Vancouver. We’re now in the process of packing the car to head down to Oregon for the City of Albany’s Children’s Performance Series. We’ll be back in Canada early next week when we jump over to Vancouver Island for some shows in Qualicum Beach and Victoria. We expect to be back in Vancouver just in time for our big concert (with the full band!) at the Roundhouse Community Centre on February 21st. Please click here for more information on the event or call 604-713-1800 for tickets.

Bobs & Lolo debuting on Treehouse TV!

Friday, January 30th, 2009

We are excited to share with you the beginning of a new chapter for Bobs & Lolo and are thrilled to announce that we will soon be featured on the national TV network completely devoted to preschoolers – Treehouse TV! Alongside our long-time media partner, Playground Media, we are excited to enter into this new relationship with Treehouse. Known for its strong balance of educational, values-rich and entertaining, parent-trusted programming, it really is an honour to be included in their line-up. The network will broadcast a rotation of the music videos currently featured on our award-winning DVD, On Your Feet with the debut broadcast scheduled for February 6th at 10am (PST). Watch the intro for our new TV segments at the end of this post!

Please help us spread the news by sharing this announcement to your circle of friends and family, particularly those with little ones around them. Additionally, we invite you to join us to celebrate the national launch of Bobs & Lolo at a family concert featuring our full band on Saturday, February 21st at the Roundhouse Community Centre. Further information about the concert is available in our events calendar.

For a number of years, Playground and our B&L team have been working tirelessly to move our programming beyond a regional level. To be achieving it now in partnership with a media icon like Treehouse TV definitely seems surreal. The opportunity to share our musical messaging with kids across the country is like a dream come true. We definitely credit all of our fans, friends and family with allowing us to stay true to our goals and dreams…thank you for all of the support!

Big hugs,

Bobs & Lolo
