The last week whizzed by in a whirlwind of excitement! First off, special thanks to all of you who tuned in for our debut on Treehouse TV. We were thrilled to see the first video (Cindy Seahorse!) go national on February 6th, and the novelty hadn’t worn off when Recyle With Me played the next morning. Treehouse TV will be showing all ten of our music videos as interstitials between their existing programs. Please let us know if you see one play, and we’ll keep you posted if we receive any more info from the network on upcoming broadcasts!

Other exciting fun this past week included a number of fabulous shows. Huge thanks to the Winterfest crew and the City of Surrey for hosting us on Feb 7th. It was great to take part in some of the 2010 Countdown celebrations, and we felt honoured to share the mainstage with so much incredible talent.

Speaking of great events, kudos to the Inglewood Parent Participation Preschool and the West Vancouver community for putting on an incredible family fundraiser this past weekend. With 500 tickets sold, the place was definitely rockin’! Our thanks to Helen and the organizing committee for inviting us to headline the family entertainment.

The musical adventures didn’t end with the wrap of the weekend though, and We dove right into Monday with a show for the primary students at Kingsford-Smith Elementary in Vancouver. We’re now in the process of packing the car to head down to Oregon for the City of Albany’s Children’s Performance Series. We’ll be back in Canada early next week when we jump over to Vancouver Island for some shows in Qualicum Beach and Victoria. We expect to be back in Vancouver just in time for our big concert (with the full band!) at the Roundhouse Community Centre on February 21st. January proved to be a busy month behind-the-scenes with lots of office clean-up, bookkeeping catch-up and meeting blahs.  Admin work is definitely not our forte, and we are dreaming about the day when some super-talented office administrator will help organize our lives (send resumes to workforfree@bobsandlolo.com).  Below is a snapshot of what our world looked liked for the last three weeks…

While we may not appear organized at first glance, we did manage to get a lot done this month. More than anything though, we can’t wait to get back to singing and dancing next week! Eran Norton, our booking agent superstar, has been busy as well and has jam-packed our tour calendar with lots of fabulous family events over the next few months.  We have plenty of shows in and around Metro Vancouver (see highlighted February shows below), but we are also starting to travel more too. Some of our upcoming musical adventures will take us to Salt Spring Island (BC), Albany (Oregon), Penticton (BC), Saskatoon (SK) and Calgary (AB). Be sure to check out our online calendar for a complete listing of shows – hopefully, we’ll be in your neighbourhood soon!

We also wanted to let everyone know that we are bringing in the boys for a full-band celebration at the Roundhouse Community Centre (Exhibition Hall) on February 21^st. Our good friends Mario Vaira, on the guitar, and Ryan Stewart, on the bass, are guaranteed to help make this concert rock! Those of you familiar with our On Your Feet DVD will recognize these two talented musicians from the Raindrop Pop music video – check it out on YouTube here.

Other upcoming shows definitely worth checking out include Winterfest (Feb 7 -Surrey) and the Inglewood Family Concert (Feb 8 -West Van). We look forward to seeing all of you soon!
