Just over a week and a half ago, at the end of 6 crazy shows, four very long days and what felt like an even longer drive home to Vancouver, we both felt like we should be sporting “I Survived Pemberton” badges rather than celebrating the end of our first contract with Live Nation.
Now with a little recovery time (i.e. sleep!) behind us, we’ve had a chance to reflect on the many amazing experiences that highlighted our time at the 2008 Pemberton Festival.

Bobs & Lolo’s Top 10 Pemberton Highlights:
10. The live music! Tom Petty and The Sam Roberts Band were at the top of our list!!
9. Backstage catering…yummy
8. Spotting Trevor Linden in the VIP section
7. Plumbed toilets in the KidZone – the festival’s best kept secret
6. Daily dirt booger contests with our fabulous crew
5. Our fabulous crew – Mario Vaira (guitar/road manager), Ryan Stewart (bass), Wendy Zubic (temporary tattoo specialist), Kim Hardy (photographer extraordinaire) and Kavie Toor (roadie)
4. The tent cover over our stage and the audience seating area that provided all of us with some much needed relief from the heat
3. Sharing the stage and hanging out with so many other fabulous family entertainers – Robin Chestnut, Norman Foote, Rick Scott, the Vancouver Circus School and more
2. Our incredible sound guy (Gerb!) from Rocky Mountain Productions
1. All the kids and families that braved the crowds and dust to sing and dance with us!

Special thanks to the Westin Whistler for the luxurious accommodations; Kim Smythe and the team at WestCoast Events for hosting us in the KidZone; Stuart Derdeyn (The Vancouver Province) for making time to check out one of our shows and mentioning us in his festival blog; and Live Nation for taking a chance on two local gals – we really appreciate the support!
