We officially survived our 2010 summer stint as road warriors! While we met many new friends and had some super fun times on our travels (please visit our photo blog!), in the final days of our tour we were definitely looking forward to some time in our own beds as well as some much-needed R&R.

We arrived home early last week, although the much-anticipated R&R has been a bit more difficult to come by. The ‘to do’ list seems to be growing exponentially these days, and we both recognize that if we don’t decompress soon, we’re both going to lose a little of our B&L mojo. Soooooo…our solution??

We are heading separate ways this week to spend some time in the great outdoors. B will be taking the classier route in her fabulous 1974 Volkswagon van (aka Frogger) while L will be taking the slightly rougher road with tent in tow. Either way, we both look forward to the rejuvenating effects of downtime spent on the beach, in the trails and around a campfire.
We’ll be returning next week re-energized and ready for the many musical adventures that lie ahead. We have a lot of fun stuff planned over the next few months, including a return visit to Ontario! Please keep an eye on our events calendar as event & ticket info will be available soon!
In the meantime, we have lots happening around home including a family concert at the Roundhouse with our full band (yaaa!) and a return to the PNE. In addition, we are thrilled to be sharing in a special fundraising event for the Semiahmoo Family Place in Surrey on Friday, August 20th. We hope you can join us for the fun family festivities in support of this great community resource!

We had such a wonderful time seeing you in Edmonton! I’m never going to forget the look on my daughter’s face when she actually SAW you, LIVE!!!!! It was definately worth it! Have a wonderful remainder of summer, we’re off to the cabin ourselves to decompress before life returns to normal!
